We opened The Light in the Piazza last night at Goodspeed Opera House, and I am still floating.
Adam Guettel's score is one of the most extraordinary in the American musical theater repertoire. Playing Clara — a young woman navigating love, identity, and the world through the most luminous music — has stretched and surprised me in the best ways.
